G1000 FITS Transition Training (2 ½ days)
Cessna’s Factory Approved G1000 Transition Course consists of two and a half days of training. The course objective is to transition a pilot into a single engine Cessna aircraft equipped with the G1000 avionics suite. It includes eight hours of ground training and four to six hours of flight training during three scenario-based flights. Training includes VFR, IFR, and abnormal/emergency training. This course is approved for the following aircraft:
- Cessna 172 Skyhawk
- Cessna 182 Skylane
- Cessna T182 Turbo Skylane
- Cessna 206 Stationair
- Cessna T206 Turbo Stationair
Cessna offers this G1000 transition training at the factory in Independence, Kansas, and it is also available through qualified factory-trained flight instructors. These instructors are recognized by the factory as Cessna FITS Accepted Instructors (CFAI). If you have just purchased a new Cessna aircraft that comes with a factory training allotment, we can give you your free factory training at your home airport and Cessna reimburses us directly for the cost of the course (you just cover travel expenses). If you have purchased a used Cessna, without a factory training allotment, this course is available for you to purchase.
As a Cessna FITS Accepted Instructor (CFAI), Arwyn Jones is qualified to teach in all high wing single-engine Cessna piston aircraft (172, 182, 206).
